Siemens Global Footprint Simulator
The scope of the Siemens Global Footprint Simulator (GFS) is to optimize the strategic supply chain planning over a 3 to 5 year horizon. The GFS captures all relevant supply chain parameters like, e.g., the structure of the supply chain network (e.g., suppliers, factories, markets), production costs (fixed and variable costs), and transport (e.g., rail, road, ship) as well as other costs (e.g., duties).
As a specialty, risk factors (e.g., foreign exchange or interest rates) are predicted with advanced neural networks. Confidence levels are given for each forecast. An internal data viewer/editor can be used to evaluate/modify the inputs and outputs. The supply chain and the most important KPIs are displayed in a graphical viewer. User configured reports can be generated in the form of MS-Excel files. A scenario editor allows the comparison of different supply chain configurations.

Can you tell us what that spreadsheet-like component in the Markets Overview window is? Is it something you developed internally or something which anyone could use?
