My Weekly NetBeans Tip (4): Pee You in NetBeans!

Trying to learn all those code templates to get real benefit out of the Java parts of NetBeans IDE. Different ways to structure my learning. One way is simple: take all Java code templates that consist of TWO letters, such as "pu", which expands to "public" and learn all of them, just the two letter ones. These are they:

  • En
  • Ex
  • Ob
  • St
  • ab
  • bo
  • ca
  • cl
  • cn
  • df
  • eq
  • ex
  • fa
  • fi
  • fl
  • fy
  • ie
  • im
  • ir
  • le
  • pe
  • pr
  • pu
  • re
  • st
  • sw
  • sy
  • th
  • tw
  • wh

See? Not so many. :-) The ones I find most useful and will start using:

  • bo
  • St
  • cl
  • ir
  • pu
  • pr
  • re

Wanna know what they mean? Type them in a Java file in NetBeans and then press Tab. Can't do all the work for ya, ya know..

I use some of them. But I would like to export and import my own abbreviations. IS it possible?
