Java and NetBeans will be present at the FUDCON (Fedora User and Developer Conference) in Milan this year, held from 30 September to 2 October. During the conference, tomorrow at 9:00, I will be presenting NetBeans IDE!

What is FUDCON ?

FUDCON is the Fedora Users and Developers Conference, a major free software event held in various regions around the world, usually annually, per region. FUDCon is a combination of sessions, talks, workshops, and hackfests in which contributors work on specific initiatives.

Topics include infrastructure, feature development, community building, general management, as well as governance, marketing, testing, QA, packaging, etc. FUDCon is always free to attend for anyone in the world.

What will I be talking about?

I will talk about Java and the opportunities offered by this language to Linux and, especialy, the Fedora world. I'll also present NetBeans IDE and position it as one the main development tools of Fedora.

Fedora is a solid operating system in the Linux world, while NetBeans releases have been integrated into this operating system. It will be great, if possible, to add the recent version of NetBeans to Fedora as well, during the packaging process.
