Still A Fan Of NetBeans IDE After Five Years!
I've been using NetBeans as my primary IDE for about five years. In 2011 I decided to try working with Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEA for a few months to see what I'm missing out on since they are supposed to be better. I put effort into learning keybindings and learning to work their way.
Maybe it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks, but I find myself coming back to NetBeans
- because of the way it has implemented Maven support
- because I prefer its code editor
- because generally I find it to be more intuitive and less cluttered
Examples:
Plus each new release comes with great new features. I suppose Eclipse fans can't move to IntelliJ IDEA or NetBeans for the same reasons!
