We have a pretty active NetBeans and Java community at the University of Belgrade.

We have the NetBeans User Group,  two NetBeans Platform trainings per year, and we teach the NetBeans Platform at our official university courses.

Since the NetBeans User Group has been founded, for the last three years, we've been recruiting students to work on open source and NetBeans related projects.

The latest news is that we've founded the Open Source Software Development Center at our university. Thanks to great collaboration with the NetBeans project, our focus will be on NetBeans related development.

At the moment, we have five highly motivated students that will work on open source projects for the next three months. Three of them had already finished a NetBeans Platform training course, and received their NetBeans Platform Certified Engineer certificates, while the other two will learn about it during the "Open Source Software" course and while working on projects in our center.

We will work on the NetBeans UML Plugin, and the Visual editor for Neuroph Studio, both using the Visual Library API.

We'll keep you informed about our progress!
