Is it OK to send spam here because application is made on NetBeans platform or because it is about Bible?
I believe moderator should stop articles which are pure advertising about some products and are not related to technology.
Are you serious? 100% of announcements on Javalobby tell you about new releases of products. This is just another release of a product, isn't it? Or do you want a law on Javalobby that says "if the application is about the Bible, it should not be allowed to be published".
Yes I would prefer that !
It is getting ridiculous, get that junk out of the way.
How about astrology ? Ridiculous.

Sorry, at Javalobby we respect the opinions of those we disagree with.

I do not care about opinions but facts. It simply has no place here.
Respecting all opinions means you do not put any value on anything.
Having a junkyard will be the result.

disclaimer: I am the original poster for the announcement.
There seems to be a complain regarding my product announcement. So if it is offending or distracting you, we are sorry about that.
But as far as I know, I did follow the forum rules and I believe it does not considered a spam.
- it is an announcement of product posted in the announcement sections
- it is created in Java and use Netbeans Platform as technology base
- it is public domain and the source is avaiable, so any java developer interested to learn either Java or how to develop application on top of Netbeans Platform could be benefits.
- I am not posting about theological view or doctrine, but I am posting a product announcement written in Java and Netbeans Platform in announcement section.
- As far as I re-read my announcement, it does not contains any theological/religion doctrine, it is more towards technology (Java, Netbeans, Bug Fixes, text processing engine)
Please then describe the rule by which Javalobby should decide that this particular article should not be published...
This is the moderator job, which is obviously not done.
As far as there is the word Java , you accept it ?
If you do not see any reason, I think there is no way to explain it to you.

I agree with Geertjan here, and am surprised that someone finds a problem with this announcement. As well as DZone being a place for articles and tips/tutorials relating to various technologies, we have always published announcements relevant to particular zones.
Announcements like this let people see some examples of what is being done with Java.

How about Bomb Design in Java, you will then approve it ? Bravo.

Hi!
"Alkitab Bible Study has been placed in the public domain. The source code is available at developer section."
It's easy to understand: Alkitab Bible Study is related to the technology of Java and NetBeans. I see no problem with this announcement.
best regards, josh.
